Member Skilled Workforce Award

The Member Skilled Workforce Award developed in partnership with the Institute of Advanced Manufacturing (IAM), supports UFirst Federal Credit Union members pursuing continued education or industry-recognized certifications in the skilled trades and manufacturing fields. This award reflects our commitment to strengthening the local workforce and investing in our community’s future

Application Process

To be considered for an award you must:

  • Be an active UFirst member
  • Complete an application
  • Be currently enrolled in, or applying to a qualifying certification program, workshop, training or class at the IAM
  • Provide proof of enrollment (Ex. Schedule, acceptance letter or invoice)

Eligible uses of funds

  • Workshop, training or class costs/fees.
  • Certification/licensing fees
  • Required books, tools or materials specific to trade or course

Award Disbursement

  • Award amounts will be decided by UFirst leadership - applicants are not guaranteed an award
  • Funds will be paid directly to the IAM on behalf of the recipients whenever possible

Additional Details

  • Only one award per member per year
  • Award amounts are up to $150/member
